WHO WE ARE

PoloPlasma S.r.l.

PoloPlasma was founded as a start-up in September 2017 in Vigevano, in the province of Pavia.

It develops advanced solutions for air decontamination in controlled-contamination environments, with an approach that integrates plant engineering, plasma physics and IoT monitoring.

The PoloPlasma process is protected by a patent filed in 2022. The flagship product, PLASMAIR, is the result of years of research and field testing, validated In Hospital environment under real operating conditions.

The air we do not see

Airborne microorganisms, viruses (SARS-CoV-2, influenza), multidrug-resistant bacteria (MRSA, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas), fungal spores, are transported by microparticles of 0.1–0.5 µm that traditional filtration systems do not completely remove.

Indoor air quality is still today a subjective perception. The EN ISO 14644-1:2022 standard has raised the requirements for controlled-contamination environments, demanding active monitoring and controlled ventilation with predetermined air changes.

The PoloPlasma process is protected by a patent filed in 2022. The flagship product, PLASMAIR, is the result of years of research and field testing, validated In Hospital environment under real operating conditions.

THE SOLUTION

Three environments, one single protection

PLASMAIR integrates into the existing mechanical ventilation system without structural modifications. Each installation is calibrated to the specific features of the target environment.

Healthcare

Decontamination according to EN ISO 14644-1:2022 for ISO 5, 7, 8 classified environments. Validated under real operating conditions.

Industrial

Cleanrooms classified GMP for the pharmaceutical, electronics, cosmetics and canning industries. No interruption of production.

Civil

Superior air quality in public and work environments. Reduction of allergens, odors and VOCs with continuous monitoring.

HOW IT WORKS

SDBD technology in three stages

The technology uses recirculated air passing through an SDBD plasma stage, achieving up to 99% reduction of airborne contaminants including bacteria, viruses, moulds, fungi and spores.

01

Supply air

Air passes through high-efficiency F9 filters that retain 80–85% of particles ≤ 1 µm, including spores and bacteria.

02

F9 filtration

In addition to the filters already present in the HVAC/AHU, the high-efficiency F9 filter retains 80–85% of particles ≤ 1 µm: spores, pollens, fine particulates.

03

IoT monitoring

RS485 Modbus sensors measure O₃, O₂, CO₂, pressure, humidity. The PID software automatically adjusts the cycles.
